How We Can Help
If you are a stroke survivor in need of support, we are pleased to consider requests for:
Specialist mobility equipment (such as mobility scooters, riser-recliner chairs, specialist beds, or even adaptations to your car).
Home independence and safety aids (such as fall alarms or contributions towards retrofitting bathrooms and installing stairlifts).
Therapy and communication tools (such as specialized speech and language aids).
*Please note that the list above is not exhaustive—we are happy to consider any practical items or services that will help make a stroke survivor or their carer's life less challenging.
Any Isle of Man based person who has had a stroke or is caring for someone who has had a stroke can apply for a grant.
Our financial assistance is provided as a non-repayable grant, meaning it does not need to be paid back.
Any equipment fully or partially bought via a grant becomes your personal property and is then owned by you.
All requests must be made in writing using our application form.
Private medical treatment and private therapy
Labour costs/structural alterations
Nursing home fees other than respite
Debts and rent arrears
Items for which statutory funding is available
Medical and rehabilitation equipment that can be provided by Manx Care
